Petit Bateau expands in Spain with new store in Malaga

French childrenswear brand Petit Bateau has launched a new standalone store in Malaga, Spain. The retail space is located on Antonio Baena Gomez Street, a stone’s throw away from the city’s main shopping area.

This is the first time the brand, part of Yves Rocher, opens a standalone boutique in the Andalusia region, where it was until now represented by concessions at department stores in Sevilla and Marbella.

In addition to Malaga, the French label has freestanding stores in Palma de Mallorca, A Coruña, Barcelona, Bilbao, Girona, Madrid, San Sebastián, Valencia and Zaragoza.

Its playful, preppy collections for newborns, babies, children and also adults resonate well with Spanish customers who value quality cotton clothing and attention to detail.

Petit Bateau has also attracted the interest of the fashion world with designer collaborations including Carven, Christian Lacroix, Maison Kitsuné and Ines de la Fressange.

Launched in 1893, the brand has now a presence in more than 70 countries such as Germany, Australia, Switzerland, Poland, the UK, Russia, Spain, Italy and Japan.
