From 5th to 7th September, the Munich textile industry event will showcase more than a thousand exhibitors from 36 countries, presenting 1,700 fabric and fashion collections for the men's, women's, children's, denim and sportswear markets.

Exhibitors will once again be split in several sections: Asia Salon, featuring 150 manufacturers from Asia; Design Studio, dedicated to textile designs; Keyhouse, focusing on new technology and the future of textiles; Organic Selection, for products that address the sustainability challenge; and of course Bluezone, featuring about one hundred denim specialists from around the world.

As usual, the majority of exhibitors will come from Germany (24% of the total), Italy (22%) and Turkey (17%). Numerically, they are followed by the groups from China (48 exhibitors), France (35) and South Korea (35).

The event will also feature a series of conferences addressing a variety of issues, from future trends to the childrenswear market's evolution, the role of lifestyle products, the new challenges facing the outdoor market, the reality of green manufacturing and best practices in supply-chain risk management.

The previous edition of Munich Fabric Start, held from 31st January to 2nd February, recorded a 3% rise in visitors over that of January 2016.
