Monki announces two new UK stores

Young fashion retailer Monki is set to expand its UK footprint with the opening of new stores in Glasgow and London.

The womenswear brand, owned by H&M, has taken up a unit at Buchanan Galleries in Glasgow City Centre, marking its first bricks-and-mortar site in Scotland. The store is expected to open in the city this autumn.

A second store is due to open in London, however its location has not yet been confirmed.

The new spaces will come with the Monki World concept, narrating the brand’s imaginary universe with rainbow-coloured fitting rooms, shimmering walls and a Sea of Scallops table.

Monki has an existing store in London, located in Carnaby Street, as well as a presence in Bristol’s Cabot Circus.

The brand was created in 2006 and specialises on fashion with a message, selling clothing, accessories and footwear for young women.
