The 46th edition of the eyewear show Mido, held from 27th to 29th February at the FieraMilano pavilions in Milan, has ended with a more than satisfactory outcome.

The Milanese event achieved a historic attendance record with 52,000 visitors, 7% up compared to 2014, when it had attracted 49,000 professionals.

The show organisers stated in their closing press release that Mido has grown in terms of attendance, but also in terms of surface area and exhibitors, with 106 new companies participating.

Mido 2016 has also had a far greater social media presence than its previous editions, with a 100% increase in content and interactions about the show on the web.

The official hashtag #MIDO2016 was used in more than 10,000 messages on Instagram and Twitter, underlined the organisers.
