IFEMA, the organiser of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid (MBFWM), has changed the dates of the 2018 editions, which will be now be held between January 25 and 29, 2018, while the second edition will be held between July 5 and 8, 2017.

The dates of the second edition of 2017 remain unchanged and will be hosted between September 15 and 19, 2017.

According to IFEMA, the change in dates is part of the international strategy of the platform, in order to capture a greater number of buyers and foreign press. In both cases, the event will be held immediately after the fashion catwalk shows of Paris.

The February 2017 edition of MBFWM saw 42 collections displayed by Spanish designers and witnessed 50,206 visitors visiting the show, with 1,314 press professionals covering the show.

In addition, the organisers also organised a programme for international buyers, made up of representatives from establishments and large supply chains from China, Hong Kong, Mexico and Portugal.
