Published
Oct 25, 2012

Levi’s are continuing in the battle against global warming. Starting with a campaign in 2009 explaining an eco-friendly way to wash jeans, and followed by the Water-less initiative where water usage during the manufacturing process was reduced, Levi’s is now introducing Waste-Less. The collection will be released in January and will be composed of men’s and women’s wear made from recycled plastics.

For Spring 2012, the American denim brand will release two types of jeans and the Trucker jacket for men and women in Europe and the United States can enjoy a pair of boyfriend-fit jeans as part of the Waste-Less collection. The manufacturing of the collection is to used approximately 3.5 million recycled bottles.

Across its 2,300 stores, Levi Strauss & Co (which includes the brands Levi’s, Dockers, Signature by Levi Strauss & Co and Denizen, achieved a turnover of 4.8 billion dollars in 2011.
