Ispo Beijing cruises along

Ispo, which will open in Munich on Thursday, has just finished up its latest Chinese edition. The Ispo Beijing 2015 trade show, held in Beijing from January 28 to 31, attracted 29,948 visitors. The results were stable as compared to those in 2014, which tallied 30,000 visitors.

A total of 434 exhibitors (as compared with 431 in 2014) with 656 brands presented their products from the outdoor, action sports, ski, sportstyle and fabrics & fibers segments across approximately 430,000 square feet of exhibition space.

Klaus Dittrich, of Messe München, the show’s organizer said: "The four trade show days once again showed that the sporting goods industry continues to grow in China. This is also evident in the increasing number and quality of the exhibitors. In addition to numerous great Asian brands like Kailas, Mobi Garden and Toread, the list of exhibitors also included many international companies, such as Garmont, Lowa, Mammut and Tecnica." 

Klaus Dittrich also pointed out that several brands, including Dynastar, Gore and La Sportiva, participated for the first time. 

The summer version of the show, Ispo Shanghai, will be held from July 2-4 2015 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. In addition to outdoor and action sports, the edition will feature a greater focus on fitness, water sports and sport style brands. The next Ispo Beijing, meanwhile, will take place from February 24-27 2016.
