Isabel Marant links with YNAP for e-store

Published

Isabel Marant has become the latest designer name to link with one of the giants of luxury fashion e-tail and has launched an online store in a partnership with Yoox Net-a-Porter Group (YNAP).

The company had announced a little over a year ago that it was linking with YNAP to relaunch its website and make the most of e-commerce opportunities. With this revamp, it is now retailing both its mainline Isabel Marant collection and its Isabel Marant Etoile label through the new e-store with a reported aim of online sales being 5% of the total by 2019.

The offer includes its apparel, footwear, bags and other accessories. The site delivers to more than 100 countries and is available in six languages and nine currencies. The first 500 customers will receive a gift when their order is placed.

YNAP has been running e-stores for major design names for over a decade and currently handles e-tail for a number of heavyweights, including Marni, DSquared2, Valentino, Chloé, Giorgio Armani and Moncler, among others.

The influencer brand's new e-store also includes ‘editorial’ features highlighting new stores, videos and images of the brands’ collections and other features. There will also be twice-monthly content called La Valise d’Isabel (or Isabel's Trunk) where the label’s founder Marant will highlight selected pieces she has chosen.

As well as the new e-store, the site brings with it new packaging, the result of a collaboration with German painter Katrin Bremermann. The site was created by Paris-based agency June 21st, an apt link-up considering the launch date.

Isabel Marant was founded in 1994 and last year Montefiore Investment took a 51% stake as the brand sought investment cash to expand. Turnover is reported to have reached €150m in 2016.
