Innisfree opens its first US store

Published

On Friday, the Korean beauty brand opened its first United States store in New York City and launched its US website. Since its founding in 2000, Innisfree has become one the best-selling brands in Korea.

Innisfree

Despite its longstanding popularity in Korea, Innisfree was previously only available to American shoppers through the likes of Amazon or eBay. Now with its first United States store, the brand joins other Korean companies and retailers looking to capitalize on the still-growing American interest in K-beauty.

Located in New York City’s Union Square neighborhood, Innisfree’s new store contains more than 900 products, with prices ranging from $2 to $100. In addition to its K-beauty staples like sheet masks and cushion compacts, the store also carries expanded shade ranges developed specifically to suit the more diverse U.S. market.

The new store also offers a few customized products, such as create-your-own cushion compacts and skin masks. The Union Square space will also carry in-store exclusives and offer deluxe samples to customers.

Innisfree is owned by Korean multi-brand conglomerate Amore Pacific and is known for its accessible prices and use of natural ingredients such as green tea. Already hugely successful in Korea, the brand already has plans to open more stateside stores across New York City and in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
