The London-based e-commerce company will move into office space in Downtown Los Angeles’ mixed-use building The Bloc. The new space will act as West Coast headquarters for the company.

Farfetch will occupy 25,000 square feet of The Bloc’s 30th floor. The building was formerly the Macy’s Plaza and is now made up of a mix of office and consumer spaces, with Nordstrom-owned Haute Look also occupying offices in the building. Farfetch’s new offices will begin operations in 2018 and act as a West Coast headquarters for the London-based company.

Farfetch recently received an investment of $397 million from Chinese e-commerce group JD.com, allowing the company to expand its presence in China. The company also forged a partnership with Condé Nast earlier this month when it purchased Style.com.

The e-commerce platform was founded by Portuguese entrepreneur José Neves in 2007 and began operations in the United States in 2009. Headquartered in London, the company how commands offices in 11 major cities around the world, having greatly expanded its workforce in recent months. In May the company announced plans to invest 1 million euros into a new Lisbon space and hire 500 new employees by the end of the year, increasing its Portuguese workforce to 900.
