Egypt's Kabo swings to H1 loss

CAIRO, Sept 11 (Reuters) - Egypt's El Nasr Clothes and Textiles (Kabo) KABO.CA made a net loss of 10.54 million Egyptian pounds ($1.94 million) in the first half of 2008, the stock exchange said on Thursday, September 11th.

The company made 756,042 pounds net profit in the first half of 2007, the statement said.

No reason was given for the deterioration.

Kabo reported 5.5 million pounds of net profit in the first quarter of this year.

Shares in Kabo were trading 5.28 percent up at 2.59 pounds by 0921 GMT. ($1 = 5.426 Egyptian pounds) (Writing by Wael Gamal)
