Camila Cabello helps L'Oréal Paris Elvive make its comeback

Camila Cabello knows a thing or two about making a comeback, which could be why L'Oréal Paris has put her front and center of its new Elvive Hair Care campaign.

The singer-songwriter has launched her debut commercial for the hair care brand, as part of its highly-publicized ‘Comeback' campaign. The 60-second slot, which aired for the first time during the 60th Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday night, sees the star psyching herself up backstage before a performance. The singer, who left girl group Fifth Harmony to pursue a highly-successful solo career in 2016, speaks over the clip: "When they say you're not ready, that you'll never make it on your own, that's the time to really shine."

"I think a comeback is defined as struggling through something and having the strength and resolution to push past it," said Cabello in a statement. "For me, it was about taking chances, aiming high and believing that I was worth it. I can now finally hear everything my heart was telling me."

Cabello's commercial is the second in the Elvive ‘Comeback' campaign, following on from a clip released earlier this month starring actress Winona Ryder that featured the tagline: "Everyone loves a comeback. Damaged hair deserves one too."

The Elvive Hair Care range focuses on reviving damaged tresses via a series of shampoos, conditioners and treatments designed to combat the issues raised by heat styling, dryness or color processing. Cabello's role in the campaign is to promote the ‘Extraordinary Oil' collection, which targets dry and undernourished hair.

The star has been working with L'Oréal Paris since last July, when she was unveiled as a global ambassador for the brand.
