Bally reveals two new appointments with focus on EMEA, marketing division

Bally is strengthening its management team. The luxury Swiss footwear brand, acquired in February 2018 by Chinese giant Shandong Ruyi, has completed its reorganisation up top, appointing Eva Quirrenbach as chief marketing officer.

The recruitment comes alongside the promotion of Silvia Onofri to CEO of Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), where she will be in charge of retail and wholesale for the region. The appointment is also in addition to her current role as vice president of global wholesale for Bally, which she has held since January 2017.

Eva Quirrenbach - Bally

Helmed by Frédéric de Narp since November 2013, Bally "thus completes its strategic restructuring process initiated last year with the relocation of its creative, merchandising and marketing offices from London to Milan, to its new Milan showroom and head office," the CEO said in a statement.

Quirrenbach joins Bally after management roles at Italian footwear company Tod's, and more recently, a four-year stint at Tory Burch, where she also served as marketing director. She succeeds William "Billy" Daley, who came to the Swiss brand at the start of 2017, following the departure of Anne-Marie Gaultier, who at the time was vice-president of marketing and global communication.

Silvia Onofri - Bally

Onofri has worked at Bally for ten years now. She has been involved in trade marketing at the company, before taking the reigns of global travel retail, followed by leading the firm's global wholesale division, a function in which she remains today.

"She has obtained exceptional results by introducing the brand to the best multi-brand stores and solidly grown Bally's presence in the travel retail channel," said de Narp.

Before coming to Bally, the executive worked in the marketing department of jeweller Bulgari.
