Adidas Originals and Italia Independent present new limited edition sunglasses

On 21st September, at the start of Milan Fashion Week, the sports equipment brand and eyewear manufacturer Italia Independent presented their latest collaboration at the adidas Originals store in via Tocqueville, Milan: a limited edition sunglasses line.

The adidas Originals eyewear line by Italia Independent features two sunglasses models inspired by the shapes and patterns of the 1980s, and combining the values of the two brands: product innovation, constant design research and state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques.
 
The first model is chic and ultra feminine: the oversize frame has a rounded shape and is distinctive for the finishing treatment that adds a special shine to it. A horizontal cellulose acetate strip cuts across the lenses, splitting them in two differently-coloured sections: smoky black below and mirror-lens blue above, where the laser-etched adidas Originals trefoil logo is visible. The frames are available in two colours, blonde Havana and black-and-white Havana.

The style of the second, unisex model has more of a retro feel to it, with classic lines and an iconic square frame, and a bold, shiny finishing that gives the sunglasses a decidedly 1980s look. The model is available in two colours, black and brown Havana, and the adidas Originals trefoil logo is laser-etched on the temples.
 
The four versions of the adidas Originals by Italia Independent sunglasses will each be available in only 500 pieces worldwide. They are on sale now at adidas Originals stores, at the Italia Independent store in Italy, on both brands' websites and at selected opticians and fashion stores worldwide. The retail price is €179.
